How to qualify.
The Foundation supports registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that meet the criteria below.
Offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for Union Monique Foundation employees
Provide services that help people build financial stability and opportunity
Deliver programs directly in the community, including non-traditional learning settings
Demonstrate program sustainability
Are nondiscriminatory in their policies and practices with regards to physical abilities, gender, race, age, sexual orientation, ethnic origin and/or creed
Our grantmaking focus.
We invest in direct-service programs in three areas: education, community development, and financial literacy.
Education and youth development
Programs that support students through tutoring, mentoring, arts education, college access, career readiness, and related services.
Community development initiatives
Programs that strengthen neighborhoods through housing support, community centers, food security, local infrastructure, and other essential services.
Financial literacy
Programs that teach personal finance skills, build confidence in money decisions, and help people avoid fraud and financial hardship.
Apply for a grant.
Grant applications are accepted from August 1 to August 31 each year through our online portal. Employee liaisons may not submit applications on behalf of an organization.

We review all proposals. Priority is given to organizations that match our focus areas, offer volunteer opportunities, and show long-term program sustainability.
Union Monique Foundation cannot fund:
One-time fundraising events and sponsorships
Production of any marketing materials
Capital expenditures (building or land acquisitions)
