About Union Monique Foundation.

Founded in 2004, the Union Monique Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Union Monique Bank. Funded by employee contributions, it supports programs that improve social and economic well-being in our communities.

How to qualify.

The Foundation supports registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that meet the criteria below.

  • Offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for Union Monique Foundation employees
  • Provide services that help people build financial stability and opportunity
  • Deliver programs directly in the community, including non-traditional learning settings
  • Demonstrate program sustainability
  • Are nondiscriminatory in their policies and practices with regards to physical abilities, gender, race, age, sexual orientation, ethnic origin and/or creed

Apply for a grant.

Grant applications are accepted from August 1 to August 31 each year through our online portal. Employee liaisons may not submit applications on behalf of an organization.

  • Retain a copy of your application.

Who is eligible?

We review all proposals. Priority is given to organizations that match our focus areas, offer volunteer opportunities, and show long-term program sustainability.

Union Monique Foundation cannot fund:

  • One-time fundraising events and sponsorships
  • Production of any marketing materials
  • Capital expenditures (building or land acquisitions)
  • Grants for individuals
  • Religious and political causes
